Dear Visitors!

Welcome to the homepage of the Research and Instrument Core Facility (RICF), Faculty of Science, Eötvös University, Budapest. The RICF was established by the Council of the Faculty on 16th November 2011. The mission of the RICF is to support research programs of both material and life sciences, and to maintain the instruments necessary for research. According to the deed of foundation, further goals of RICF are: carrying out research of international standards, participating in competitions, involving students in research, and supporting Ph.D. trainings. An additional important goal is to operate the instruments and help external partners avail these tools.

The RICF is functioning at the Faculty of Science of Eötvös University, under the direct control of the Dean. Its director, who is supervising the activity of the RICF with the contribution of the Council, is tenured by the Dean. Instrumentation laboratories of the Faculty of Science can join the RICF according to the rules laid down in the deed of foundation. Staff of the RICF operate the instruments and participate in governing the RICF itself. Staff of Eötvös University have plenty of advantages, such as obtaining services of the RICF at a reduced price even compared to the cost price, applying for grants more successfully with the instrumental background of the RICF, and participating in the applications of the RICF.

Instruments of the RICF are available for external users as well for an adequate user fee. This webpage aims to help future users get information about the work of the RICF, familiarize with the most important features of the instrumentation, and access the instruments simply and fast.
